mprovements of the KIPROS Iodine-123 Production System
KIPROS has been in routine operation in many countries throughout the
world for more than 20 years. With the goal to increase the production
capacity several design features have been improved:
Entrance foils hold up to 200μA
Improved entrance foil design and better Helium cooling
New vacuum system for target and gas lines
Foil positioning now by a spindle system
Grouped valve assemblies allow easier and faster service
Subassemblies are positioned outside high dose area
Extended in-process control
