Carbon Nanotubes: CNTs powder

Back

Carbon Nanotubes (Powder)

Although carbon nanotubes are academically classified into two major types: SWCNT and MWCNT, the commercial CNT products can be classified into much more types due to their structures, geometry dimensions, purity, etc. In developments of CNT applications, the detail structures and geometry dimensions will become important parameters.
We prepared 3 types of CNT products for your needs.

We strongly recommend this LLCNT, because the maximum length of CNTs will reach to 600μm, 10-100 times of the commercial CNT products (except super-growth SWCNT made by AIST of Japan). LLCNT has also a highly crystalline structure. These two features make LLCNT to be a high-performance conductive additive used in composite materials.
The as-grown LLCNTs usually have bundle structures. Because bundled CNTs will not be preferred, unraveling processes are conducted before product shipment.
Walls:5~10
Thickness:5~10nm
Length:30~600μm
Purity:as-grown>85% purified>95%

TKCNT [thick CNT]

A few walls (single, double, up to 5 walls) of CNTs.
Walls:1~5
Thickness:2~5nm
Length:~5μm
Purity:as-grown>85% purified>95%

TKCNT [thick CNT]

Thick and rigid MWCNTs. Because of the rigidness, they will give more good cycle performance of the Li ion battery when TKCNT are used as additives in anode/cathode materials.
Walls:~20
Thickness:20~80nm
Length:10~30μm
Purity:as-grown>80% purified>95%
